Graphic design
We can create graphics for you in one two formats, raster files and vector graphics. Below is a brief overview of the two different types. We will select the type most suitable to your needs based on how and where the graphic is to be used.
1. Raster files
These are what people know as bitmaps, jpegs, gifs, tiffs etc, and are made up of hundreds or thousands of pixels of various colours which make up the picture. There are probably up to 100 different raster formats supporting different levels of colour and file size, and are usually most suited to photographs, or real life images. They do not scale very well because if you try to enlarge one of these images, you start to see the individual pixels (squares or rectangles) that make up the image.
2. Vector graphics
These are based on many mathematical shapes i.e. circles, triangles, circles etc. The advantage of this format is that they are totally scaleable. Here you can see an example of a graphic that loses no quality despite it being enlarged or reduced in size.
